offerings

A wide variety of offerings for students, educators, small groups, and communities.

Summer

Programming

Summer Programming for youth age 6-14

  • A program designed to help students nurture their creative side by exploring different art modalities, students will learn how to bring “found art” into their creations, and they will also learn about BIPOC artists through the past and present perspectives. Students will be encouraged to work on a piece for a final art show at the end of their programming.

  • This programming teaches youth the mechanics of the popular TTRPG game, Dungeons and Dragons. While students learn how to play DnD, they will also be challenged to create their own characters with the end goal of running their own campaign where students will engage in creative, collaborative, and performative storytelling with each other.

Workshops

Workshops for educators, small teams, and communities

  • This workshop’s goal is to empower educators and communities (of all ages) to create Braver Space Agreements for their classrooms and containers. Braver Space Agreements are a set of community agreements that create for safer spaces to learn, grow, and work together. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to create or facilitate the creation of Braver Space Agreements for their classroom or container and understand why and how they can be beneficial to a variety of settings

  • Focused on creating safer spaces for Queer and BIPOC students, this training explores the importance of cultural sensitivity as well as different ways others’ cultures can be incorporated (and celebrated) into lessons and community spaces. In this workshop, teachers and business owners will understand what micro-aggressions are, what the long-term effects of cultural insensitivity create, and the antidote of these to create more inclusive and diverse spaces.

  • These presentations are geared toward children and adults interested in learning more about Native History. Depending on the age group, presentations can include storytelling, song shares, Q&A, as well as small lectures. This can also include ongoing consultations to naturally incorporate appropriate Native history into a year-round curriculum so as to not tokenize Native people, by only acknowledging them during November.

  • A workshop available to both students and adults, participants will learn how to tap into what they are feeling and create from a space free of self-judgement and self-doubt. The goal here isn’t to create a single “masterpiece” but to inspire a process that lets go of perfectionism. This workshop will incorporate elements of mindfulness- breathwork, reiki, and possibly a bit of movement depending on the container.

Extended

Programming

Additional programming for communities.

  • This mini workshop series (3-4 sessions) is geared towards adults who are interested in the beginning of their decolonization journey. The workshop teaches the difference between Ally, Accomplice, and Co-conspirator, encourages participants to look at their own privilege through the Privilege Walk Activity, and provides resources for those interested in a deeper dive into their own social justice journey.
